Total hip replacement: This is the most common type of hip replacement surgery, in which both the thigh bone (femur) and the hip bone (acetabulum) replace with artificial parts.
Hemiarthroplasty: In this procedure, only the head of the femur (thigh bone) replace with an artificial implant.
Resurfacing arthroplasty: Instead of replacing the whole joint, only the surface of the bones is changed.
Revision arthroplasty: This type of implant is used when a previous hip replacement has failed and needs to be revised or replaced.
