I'm most likely going to scrap this website and look for other options. I have my eye on Sharetribe as they seem to have an already proven system and the option to customize your marketplace in the future. However, I'm not sure whether I want to hire web developers so my website would be completely custom or try Sharetribes Go version that allows you to build your site with no coding required (though there's barely any features and it would be a very simple website).
My platforms have a total of 22,000 members and put them as some of the largest in their industry. The first platform was started a few years back. To get it started, I started off with 1 account type, the worker account (barmen/maid, to continue the example). I approached around 500 people who were doing that work and offered them a page on the website. Initially, I controlled all the admin of those accounts on plans launch marketplace - it let me understand what people wanted and needed.
